Every day is different, and every visit is an opportunity to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners.

What You'll Do

Our Pet Care Specialists provide a variety of services including:

  • Dog walking

  • Pet sitting

  • Puppy care

  • Cat care

  • Medication administration (after training)

  • Basic home care while clients are away, such as bringing in mail, watering plants, and rotating lights

You'll care for dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, reptiles, pocket pets, and other companion animals while ensuring each pet receives individualized attention based on their needs.

Essential Job Functions

This position requires team members to:

  • Walk several miles throughout the day

  • Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments

  • Work outdoors in rain, heat, cold, snow, and other weather conditions

  • Drive between multiple client homes

  • Climb stairs

  • Lift up to 40 pounds

  • Use a smartphone to complete visit reports, communicate with the office, and manage your schedule

  • Work independently while making sound decisions

  • Arrive on time for every scheduled visit

Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

Availability Expectations

You choose your general availability when you join our team. Once your availability is established and visits are assigned, we depend on you to fulfill those scheduled visits.

Because our clients rely on us to care for their pets, consistent attendance and dependable communication are critical to the success of our team.

Applicants should have availability during one or more of the following:

  • Morning visits (approximately 6:00 AM–9:00 AM)

  • Midday visits (10:00 AM–3:00 PM)

  • Evening visits (5:00 PM–9:00 PM)

  • Weekends and holidays

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have reliable transportation

  • Possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance

  • Own a smartphone with internet access

  • Pass a criminal background check

  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Be able to safely perform the essential job functions listed above

Training

Every new team member completes a structured onboarding program before working independently. This includes:

  • Hands-on training

  • Shadow visits

  • Company policies and procedures

  • Pet handling techniques

  • Pet CPR & First Aid certification

  • Ongoing coaching and support
